If you're a parent, does having children effect your mental health a lot or just a little? I currently do not have kids of my own yet. I'm getting up there in age now, so my time is limited when it comes to having children. Being 36 and all, I don't know when I will meet that significant other. Anyway, for those who do have children, how much anxiety does it give you? I know being responsible for a child or multiple children is a very stress inducing thing, but it's also very rewarding I imagine.

Anyway, does having children effect your mental health? And if so, how bad?

Having children can greatly affect mental health. The joy and bonding are rewarding, but the responsibilities, sleep deprivation, and constant demands can lead to stress, anxiety, or even postpartum depression. Support, realistic expectations, and self-care are essential for maintaining emotional well-being as a parent.
