Some teens develop social anxiety after repeated bullying about their orientation. They start avoiding classrooms, group work and online spaces. Adults may assume it’s typical teenage shyness. What signs suggest the anxiety is tied to identity-based bullying? What support helps rebuild confidence in social settings?

If the orientation related bullying is from school, those kids would start finding reasons to avoid school. They would even avoid class scenarios that are largely unsupervised. Those are just responses to protect themselves.
