And this has been since the pandemic.
Probably a combo of isolation, fear of the unknown, change, panic, and now, the economy.

Which mental illnesses do you believe have increased since Covid?

I’ll take a wild guess with anxiety & depression being the top two.

I can't agree more. The stress left behind by Covid has been resonating in everyone's life. The grief, trauma, pain, disbelief and void are still being felt by everyone affected. It wont be so easy to come out of this post traumatic stress.

PTSD is another addition to earlier mentioned list.

The rise in mental illness worldwide might be due to factors like economic stress, social isolation, climate change, and digital overload. While awareness and diagnosis have improved, lifestyle changes, global instability, and healthcare access disparities continue to challenge mental well-being on a large scale.

I think a lot of mental illness is due to social media to be honest. People see others living a life that is fake or not completely true and they want that life not knowing what is really happening behind the videos.

I think there is a lot more anxiety and depression also because people aren't getting as much exercise as they need and aren't eating the right foods regularly.

Fast food has gotten a lot more popular in the last 10 years than it ever has and apps like DoorDash, Instacart and Uber Eats make it extremely easy for us to order take out. When I talk to most people I often hear that they get take out at least 2x a month and buy a lot of ready to eat foods that aren't giving them the vitamins and nutrients their body needs in order to function properly.

Also, people aren't getting as much exercise that they need to be getting on a daily basis which will also play a role in mental illness.

I think people need to eat better, get more exercise, drink more water and get less screen time and we will find that mental illnesses will go down.

I honestly don't think this should be given importance. For me, these mental illnesses have always existed, it's just that now their existence is being discovered. Knowing this will definitely never help. They are just facts. What matters is finding a solution in each case for each person.

Am not even surprised by this in anyway, there are so many people who are even suffering from this and they are not even aware of their issues.

No offense, but people have gotten soft. Also, the drug industry wants weak people so they can sell medicine.

There are many reasons why mental diseases and problems are on a rise. Many people are suffering from financial problems. Loss if job or loss of a loved one could be a major reason behind mental illness. Inflation is increasing, but salaries of people are not increasing. Financial problems are one of the main reasons why people are suffering from mental problems.
