There have been a lot of studies that have established that a "passionate and intimate session" has a positive effect in partners. People who engage in intimate activities more often will have lower cortisol levels, have better mood, lower inflammation in the body. Frequent intimate activities will also improve blood circulation and stimulate production of collagen in the face.
If you have a partner, you should engage in intimate activities more often for better mental health.

Supportive intimate relationships can improve mental health. They provide emotional safety, reduce loneliness, and help people feel understood and valued. Having a partner who listens and validates your feelings can lower stress and improve overall wellbeing.

However, the effect depends on relationship quality. Healthy relationships help, while stressful ones can do the opposite.
